Ghost of Camp Pendleton California

It was November 1971 when my father was in the Marines, He was stationed in Camp Pendleton California. He was working security on a sunday night making sure the fuel generators were up and running. He was up in the mountains where he had to stay at night. Some guys from his unit was with him that night partying. They had to be back at the barracks by 5:00 A.M. So he called the duty officer to set a wake up call for 4:00 A.M. They were in a small mobile trailer, When he stayed there alone he slept in the very back of the trailer. That night he pulled the kitchen table up and made it a bed, It was infront of two windows with curtains up. This was the first time he had slept there. The phone rang at 4:00 A.M. He got up and drove the men to the barracks. He made it back to the trailer around 5:30 A.M. That monday morning, The appointed sergeant was coming to check the project they had been working on. My father decided to lay back down on the table, While he waited for the sergeants arrival. He felt as if he was being watched by someone. Concerned he looked  out the window but saw nothing. There was only one road to travel to where he was and it was very dusty outside, Suddenly there was a knock at the door, He thought it was the sergeant, But when he opened the door there was nobody there. So he stepped outside to look around and still nobody was there. There was no dust flying from a car approaching or from foot steps it was still out side. So he went back inside and layed back down. A little time had passed and there was another knock at the door, This time he jumped up real fast to open the door and there was still no one there, So he circled around the trailer but couldnt find anyone. So he thought he would try to lie back down. He checked the clock and noticed it was 6:45 A.M. He thought if it happens again he was leaving. That's when there was another knock on the door. This time he opened the door and the sergeant was standing there, The first thing the sergeant said to him was "You look like you have seen a ghost." He told the sergeant what had happened, The sergeant relayed what had happened to the sergeant major and ever since then, Where my father was at that night was made a two man station. He found out two days later that about two miles away was what they called battles canyon, It was called that because of the strange things that have happened out there. They say some people who went in this area just dissapered, They were never found, With no explanation.
